Juneteenth Community Climb Fundraiser

Juneteenth Community Climb Fundraiser

Doors open at 6:30pm

Event Begins at 7pm

This year our 2nd Annual Juneteenth Community Climb will take place in conjunction with our Annual Fundraiser.

This event will help raise funds to continue providing FREE safe & fun outdoor adventures for Black, Indigenous and Girls of Color, and also raise awareness of the underrepresentation of BIPOC folks in outdoor spaces.

Up until 1964, People of Color were banned and segregated from public spaces like state parks and national parks. Still today, less than 8% of national park visitors are Black or Hispanic, despite making up almost half of the U.S. population.

“As a kid, I was often put in a position to choose between my passion for the outdoors and my community. “ - Raquel Gomez, Founder & CEO

Culture and the outdoors do not have to be mutually exclusive. Atabey Outdoors was founded so BIPOC girls could have a safe space to learn about various outdoor adventure activities as well as build community with other girls who look like them.

Atabey Outdoors can only achieve our goals with the help of generous donations from supporters and community members. With your support, we’ve been able to provide free safe & fun outdoor adventures Black, Indigenous and girls of color ages 8-12 years old. We’ve had the opportunity to expose these girls to outdoor sports like mountain biking, camping and paddle boarding. We have also been able to provide gear to help families who may not be able to afford it outside of Atabey Outdoors.

We hope you will join us to learn more about our organization and Juneteenth. Plus music, food, laughs, climbing, raffles and an overall good time!

Children under 12 enter free.

Event Ticket includes:

  • Gear Rental

  • Instructional Rock Climbing video

  • One raffle ticket

  • A good time!

Ticket proceeds and donations go toward providing access to outdoor adventures for the BIPOC community.
